Hi, First First Choice Schnauzers
We are a small breeder of miniature Schnauzers located in USA. Our dogs and puppies are raised in our home as part of our family.
Please let me know if you have a preference for longhair or smooth hair in your application.

Our Breeding Practices
Behaviour and socialisation
Our puppies are raised and socialised with children, other dogs and cats as well as chickens. From the time they are born they are handled and we desensitise them to having their ears teeth and paws checked and we start clipping their nails weekly. We also do early neurological stimulation and early scent
Health
Our puppies and dogs are fed a varied diet including both dry and raw foods, our puppies are wormed every 2 weeks and get their first vaccines at 6 weeks of age. Our dogs are DNA tested for PRA, NCL, MPS, OI and SDMD.
Home environment
Our puppies are raised in our home as part of our family in our living room, they are raised with children, other dogs, cats and chickens, we live on a property so once they are 4 weeks old they start venturing outside with us. All of our dogs and puppies are housed and sleep inside with us as Schnauzers want nothing more than to be right by your side.
Included with our puppies
Our puppies come with a puppy pack, each puppies is slightly different but they all included a bed, a blanket that smells like home and a few favourite toys, plus a few other things that we like to use with our own dogs, like lick mats. Unfortunately puppies that fly can only be sent with a blanket. We also give a lifetime of support to our puppy families, we will always be here to answer any questions you may have.

PRA
Genetic test
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA) in dogs is a type of genetic eye disease causing deterioration of the retina and eventually, blindness. There are a variety of sub-types of PRA, which can occur in various breeds. There are various DNA tests available to identify whether a breeding dog is carrying this condition.

Genetic test
Mucopolysaccharidosis is a genetic lysosomal storage disease that can cause various problems including stunted growth and bone deformities. There are a few different variants of this disease that have been identified in different breeds. For many breeds there are DNA tests available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying the condition.
Genetic test
Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL) is a neurodegenerative disorder found in many breeds of dog. 7 varieties have been identified so far, affecting different breeds. There are DNA tests for each type, to identify whether a breeding dog might be carrying this condition.

Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), also known as ‘brittle bone disease’, is an inherited disease in both humans and animals, causing bone fragility and fracturing. As it is a genetic disease, breeding parents can be tested to ensure it is not passed onto their puppies
Genetic test
Sarcoglycan Deficient Muscular Dystrophy (SDMD) is a genetic disease causing a stiff gait, exercise intolerance and difficulty swallowing in young Miniature Dachshunds. There is now a DNA test available to identify if a breeding dog is carrying this disease.on.

Our special touch
We are a small hobby breeder that only has a couple of litters a year, our dogs are our life and part of our family.
We are devoted to our dogs and take time off of work to raise our puppies
We also make sure our new puppy families know they have a life time of support, guidance and help 24/7. No question is too silly and please flood us with pictures and videos as the puppies grow. We love nothing more than seeing them thrive in their homes with their families 🥰.
